Having fun with maps!

UMapper.com has this awesome feature that lets you create “dart-maps” so you can quiz your friends on just about anything that has to do with geography.

I made a few quizzes, give them a try:

ACC Schools- How well do you know your ACC Schools? If all fails, just click somewhere in North Carolina. That gives you a 1 in 3 chance of being on target.

Georgia Tech 2009 Football Schedule – Planning on following the Jackets wherever they might travel this season? Let’s see how much you’ve scouted our 2009 football opponents…

Georgia Tech Locations/Landmarks- Whether you’re an alumni, a current student, or just a fan, quiz yourself on some of the famous (and not so famous) locations around campus

7 wonders of the ancient world – Let’s see what you can remember about World History…

US Marine Corps Pacific Theatre (WWII)- Locate some of the major battles of World War II. Semper Fidelis!

Top 10 New York City Landmarks & Attractions- What do you know about our nation’s first capital?

Post your scores in the comments!

My friend and I were recently talking about how involved with technology our daily lives have become. Reading this post makes me think back to that discussion we had, and just how inseparable from electronics we have all become.

I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Societal concerns aside... I just hope that as memory gets cheaper, the possibility of uploading our brains onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's a fantasy that I dream about almost every day.

Memory sure is becoming cheaper and cheaper and cheaper. I'm curious as to when we will eventually hit the rate of 1c to 1 GB.

I'm still waiting for the day when I will finally be able to afford a 20 terabyte drive . But for now I will be satisfied with having a 16 gigabyte Micro SD in my R4i.
